Our Partners

Stakeholders of Our Symposium

İzmir International Guest Student Association is an international student association established in 2011 to provide support for guest students who choose to pursue university education in our city of İzmir, coming from various geographical regions.

Our country has a wonderful history and a great civilization heritage... Therefore, we are not unfamiliar to the civilizations of the world... For this reason, we do not consider students from all over the world who come to our country for education and training as foreigners. Instead, we refer to them as "guest students".

The aim of our association is to make our guest students “volunteer civilian ambassadors” who have a universal fraternity consciousness under the roof of our association, are equipped with basic religious information, recognize the modern world and world system, have high organizational ability...

According to statistics, there are currently around 300,000 guest students from 198 countries studying in Turkey... In İzmir, there are more than 4,000 guest students from diverse regions, including Africa, Central Asia, the Balkans, and the Middle East.

İzmir International Student Association, while providing intercultural exchange, acts with the idea of bringing together the societies and keeping the differences as their wealth... We organize international student gatherings, publish a newspaper prepared by international students, organize country presentation days...

Mission:
  • To host university students from abroad coming to İzmir for higher education
  • To contribute for the solution of problems encountered by our guests during their education and training
Vision:
  • To strive to do the best in the area of international students
  • To take into account the social values, social and cultural characteristics...
  • To create an environment for people from different nations to come together
  • To help our students become individuals who work for the development of their own countries
  • To contribute to the spread of justice, rights and care for humanity.

İBased on İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University’s Internationalization Policy, the university places internationalization at the center of its education, research, and community engagement activities. It aims to enhance international student and country diversity, increase the number of international academics and researchers, expand foreign-language course offerings, strengthen exchange programs, and promote intercultural learning among students. Through international research collaborations, externally funded projects, academic publications, and global partnerships, the university seeks to increase its international visibility and academic recognition while positioning itself among leading universities worldwide.

Mission:

Pursuing scientific truth in the light of quality and ethical values, Developing innovations, He opened the horizons of our country with his research,Securing the future of our society with the education it provides, It considers it its main duty to carry out all the necessary activities at the highest level in order to be an educational and research institution that establishes cooperation with universities in our country and abroad.

The work for international students, which began in 2004 with an association in Istanbul, spread to many cities across Turkey with the establishment of UDEF in 2012, transforming into a movement supporting tens of thousands of students through its member associations and representatives. Welcome

Message from the Congress Chair

Dear Young Researchers and Colleagues,

Each year, a significant number of international students choose Türkiye for their higher education and pursue graduate-level studies. Graduate education—encompassing Master's and PhD programs—builds upon undergraduate training, emphasizing scientific inquiry and its practical application. It represents the highest level of academic pursuit, driving scientific and technological progress, nurturing intellectual engagement, and expanding the frontiers of knowledge.

International graduate students in Türkiye are vital contributors to this vision, as they often return to their home countries to carry out scholarly and academic work. With the scientific training and perspective gained here, they are poised to make meaningful contributions to the academic development of their nations.

As İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, in collaboration with our valued partners—İzmir International Student Association (İzmir UOD), The Office of the District Mufti of Foça, İzmir, İlim Yayma Cemiyeti İzmir Branch (İzmir İYC),—we are proud to host this congress. It is designed to create a space for young researchers to present their work, engage in academic exchange, and build lasting connections.

The Congress will promote and disseminate the knowledge concerning topics related to all areas of social sciences. Congress Languages are English, Arabic and Turkish. We warmly welcome all graduate students to join us.

Warm regards,

Prof. Dr. Murat KAYACAN
